This visit, we just wanted to have a relaxing time in the valley, and had no big hike planned. We camped as usual in Upper Pines and basically enjoyed the sun. The local birds did much of the same in the mornings.
Coming through the tunnel into the sun.
The next morning David went on an unhurried hike to Vernal Falls while Jackie and I decided to spend the day climbing. It was our first foray onto the rock here, not backpacking this time. We had a great guide Josh from the Mountaineering School and spent the day in the sun.
With the nice weather and time to spare the next day, it was good to rent bikes and just do the valley tour (for the very first time on 2 wheels).
Quadrapeds were also on tour later that evening.
A Magic Bus, all the way from Ontario. Almost like a time machine!
And after we wake up and pack it's off to SF in the white Suburban magic bus.
